This 140-seat theatre is a welcome addition to the Performing Arts at Granite!

In his tenure teaching theatre, he reached thousands of students-- many of whom have continued their work in theatre post-high school because of his influence.

He retired in 2002 after a distinguished 32 years in the Grossmont District.

Barry Bosworth created a program that was the beacon for Theatre students throughout East County.

GHAW Summerstock, open to all students in the district, united students from all areas of East County.

The professional quality of his productions earned GHAW and Granite Hills High School accolades from theatres and theatre professionals throughout San Diego County.

Mr. B has the heart of a teacher and helped to create a theatre community and family for many students.  His professionalism was admired and respected by the staff and community.

The Granite Community can think of no higher way to honor Mr. B than to name the new theatre space the Barry Bosworth Theatre.
