What You Need to Do For Audtions
Are you thinking about auditioning for a show? You are ALWAYS looking for new folks to join Eagle Theatre, so here are some tips:
-
Learn what the show is about--read about it, check out some videos online, etc. Learn about what roles in which you may be interested. Don't get freaked out about all the lines or songs--being part of the ensemble is some of the best fun you can have because it is all the fun and less of the stress.
-
Look at the Audition Packet for the show that you are interested. The links should be active at least 2 weeks before the show. A physical packet (from Ms.B) will have the audition monologues, tentative show calendar, parent permission contract, and audition paperwork.
-
YOU NEED A PICTURE OF YOURSELF to staple to the audition paperwork--you can photocopy your student ID and attach it to the corner of the paperwork.
-
If you are auditioning for a musical, you will need to have about a minute of a song to perform with a karaoke track. Think of the role you are interested in being and choose a song that is similar in tone to one of their songs. Pick a song you feel confident in singing and showcases your personality and vocal range.
ANY QUESTIONS? Come see Ms. Benitez in either 165 (Per. 2, 4, 5) or 235 (Per. 6, 7 ) or email at jbenitez@guhsd.net.
